DATA FILE CHANGES Changes are in a sort of reverse chronological order. Most recent changes are at the top. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 5 MAY 2021 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update includes all the most recent versions of all currently available data files, most of which have been bug-fixed, streamlined, or otherwise updated since the last update. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 29 DECEMBER 2016 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update includes all the most recent versions of all currently available data files, most of which have been bug-fixed, streamlined, or otherwise updated since the last update. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 3 MAY 2012 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most recent updates (20120502) included. Added the Job Training Talent to Power-Ups 3. Added =infinity support. Went through Martial Arts and Low-Tech and renamed most of the %variable% skill names to add spaces into the names, making them a little more readable to the non-programmers out there -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 6 FEB 2012 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fixed a serious set of bugs accidentally introduced in the last data update released. Basically, I accidentally stripped out a bunch of quotes from the advantages section of the Basic Set data file, which really flubbed up quite a few #ChoiceLists() along the way. In addition to fixing that problem I have removed the Compilation of Talents data file and added the GURPS Power-Ups 3 Talents.gdf, as well as made an edit to gcaaliaslist.ini to point the old file to the new one. In all cases where they apply, the formulas for the Size Modifier and No Fine Manipulators ST discounts have changed. This should only affect cases where the character's ST is less than their racial ST (or less than 10). The change is that the discount affects purchases above the racially modified base value (or 10, if no adjustment), not any changes made to scores above 10. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 30 JAN 2012 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Data files are updated as frequently as possible, and this update includes all the most recent versions of all currently available data files. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 21 JAN 2012 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Data files are updated as frequently as possible, and this update includes all the most recent versions of all currently available data files. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 13 DEC 2011 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Data files are updated as frequently as possible, and this update includes all the most recent versions of all currently available data files. Of primary note in this update is that GCA now supports UTF-8 encoded files, so these data files should be UTF-8 encoded. For most users, this change will go unnoticed. For international users, this should be a welcome change. The change to the melee attributes & skills means that in the future if you resync attributes it will no longer affect the "hidden" status of those attributes. The changes to Magery means the bonus no longer comes directly from the Magery advantage but rather Magery gives a bonus to the attributes which in turn gives the skill bonus, thus eliminating all the nasty +x, -x, +x spell bonuses for single-college Magery. If you are using the new files with existing characters, these changes will require a resynchronizing of attributes as well as a resync of Skills & Advantages or a replacement of the affected skills and the Magery advantage(s). Resynching one without Resynching or replacing the other will lead to headaches. New characters, of course, are fine.
